Home clients care options

What options are open to me?

Sole-charge Nanny

Employed in the absence of the parents to care for the total well being of the children. A nanny is responsible for all aspects of the day to day care i.e. cooking, childrens laundry, general activities, and stimulation and development of the children. A nanny may hold a recognized qualification i.e. NNEB, BTECH nanny diploma, for which she will have studied for 2 years full-time.

Maternity Nurse

Employed to help care for new born babies, and to assist new mothers with those first few anxious weeks. Maternity nurses live with the family and are on call 6 days a week on a 24 hour day basis. They are very experienced nannies, who have specialized in this area, or may have worked as midwives or nurses in the past.

At Premier Nannies we operate an evening baby-sitting service. This is available after 7pm in the evening. Charges are based on an annual membership fee, and then the baby-sitters are paid direct by the client.

A Mothers Help

Either live-in or daily - works along side a busy mother, lending a hand with all the household tasks relating to the children. A mother's help would probably be a newly qualified nanny, just starting out in their chosen career and therefore capable of some sole charge.
